Senior C# Developer / SQL Server / Bolton
Senior Lead C#.NET Developer with good skills in team leading, project management, distributed application development in a C# windows development environment is required by a highly profitable Bolton based organisation. You should have some team leading experience ideally (Or have the ambition to move into a team leading role) and have excellent project management skills. Your experience must be in VB.NET/C# windows development and you should have strong SQL database development skills, either SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008. Some ASP.NET/C# web development would be a bonus but not essential. However there will be work to do in ASP.NET later in the future as the role evolves.
You should be experienced of IT development and C#.NET system architecture with full life-cycle exposure, develop and implement systems and policies, structured source code management, quality assurance of software development. They are an independent software vendor so there is a flow of constant new projects coming up.
Working in the development department you investigate new technology, review the design, come up with development ideas and plan the best way to move forward. You shall provide detailed analysis and design activities striving to improve business processes and also develop high performance generic infrastructure for all major developments and to ensure that duplication of effort is minimised. The role will also be develop standards and procedures and ensure they are adhered. Team leading is also involved as you will lead a team a developers, providing advice, delegating tasks and project managing a range of development tasks.
