Our client is seeking staff with relevant risk assessment experience in the nuclear industry (1-5 years). Applicants should have experience of assessing the safety of existing facilities or new projects and preparing relevant safety documents, and awareness of the requirements for satisfying industry regulators.

The safety case production process requires a detailed and systematic approach to identification and analysis of hazards and encompasses a wide range of skills. Ideally, you should have experience of working in a team, and should be capable of using some or all of the following techniques:

Critical examination (technical audit technique)
HAZOP/fault screening/grouping
Risk analysis (quantitative and qualitative)
Fault trees/FMEA/ALARPjustification
Use of engineering substantiation in safety justification
Derivation of Safe Operating Envelope

Experience of managing project and staff resources to ensure commitments are delivered to the required time, cost and technical standard would also be an advantage.
