My client is looking for a Junior Web Developer for a role based in Rochdale with a salary in the range 17 - 20K.

An excellent development opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our growing Web Solutions team as a Junior Web Developer. Web Solutions operates as an autonomous division, with its own client base and revenue stream. The division is responsible for developing for a range of web-based services from website design and development through to search engine promotion services. Working alongside our existing team of highly skilled web developers, your primary role within the team will be the development and maintenance of client websites.

This opportunity will allow you to develop first class programming skills as well as gain hands on experience of working at each stage of the development life cycle. We are offering a flexible career development program where you will work on development projects lasting from a few days through to several months under the supervision of an experienced team member.

You will be developing and implementing web-based solutions for a range of clients using ASP.NET. The ideal candidate will therefore possess knowledge of ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, DHTML, and JavaScript. This is an excellent role for a talented & enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated, full of ideas, and who enjoys working as part of a small dynamic team.

Reporting to the Web Solutions Manager.

What We’re Looking For:-

• Good academic track record (3 A-Levels or equivalent)
• Degree in either an IT or Science related subject
• Previous development experience gained either through a work placement or previous industrial experience
• Skills in ASP.NET along with solid database design skills, (preferably using SQL Server), as well as a good working knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, DHTML and Javascript are essential
• Shows a keen interest in Web based technologies and evolving web trends
• Maturity, confidence and team-working skills
• Good interpersonal / communication skills
• Strong problem solving ability
• Self motivated with a flexible attitude to what you might be working on as the business constantly changes
