Temporary Bursar
Fantastic opportunity within the education sector in the Colne area.
My client is seeking a Bursar for a 9 month temporary contract to cover for maternity leave. The role is due to start in November until approximately July 2010.
The role involves various duties and is within an ever changing environment, therefore requires a diverse and dedicated candidate. Responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices and general bookkeeping duties
- Monitoring and controlling budgets
- Liaising with various departments regarding budgets
- Handling petty cash and dinner money
- Monitoring attendance
- Dealing with both parents and children
- Handling highly confidential information
It is important that you are able to multi-task and pick up new duties efficiently. This role demands a positive and flexible candidate with strong people and communication skills. Strong IT skills are essential and SIMS experience is a bonus.
Normal working hours are 8.30-3.30pm, Monday to Friday. The role is due to start in November, therefore you must be available on short notice. Due to the nature of the organisation, an enhanced CRB check will be required.
