Aiming High for Disabled Children-Short Breaks Project Coordinator in Partnership with Bury Council
The project coordinator will be managed by KIDS, who have been awarded the contract with Bury to deliver the Aiming High for Disabled Children transformation of short breaks for disabled children. This is an ambitious government program that will develop and expand the range of short break services. The post offers an exciting opportunity to work with KIDS, a national charity with a long history of pioneering approaches and program for disabled children and young people.
You will be responsible to KIDS Short Breaks Project Manage (Blackburn with Darwen and Bury) and establish and maintain a close working partnership with colleagues in Bury children’s services to ensure that the Council meets the “Full Service Offer” by 2011. In return, KIDS will offer a high level of support, training and induction.
You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to working with families and young people to develop innovative short break services. You will also need to have an understanding of the commissioning role and project management skills. You will be able to work effectively with partners who will also be involved in delivering this agenda, including PCTs, service providers and children, young people and their families.
Based in North West - Bury £25,192 pro rata P/T 21.6 hours.
