The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children in an educational setting, preferably a Secondary School. You would need to be a team player and flexible with regards to working between classes as well as working with children on a small group and one-to-one basis outside of the classroom as and when required.


You would be responsible for adapting class work and creating interactive lesson plans for children as well as translating. You may also be required to attend parent's evenings and assist with interpreting.
 
You will be well supported in this role and will have assistance with regards to resources to use as well as additional training. This is a long-term, ongoing position.

· To develop social skills and promote inclusion
· To prepare and present displays of student's work

Essential
· NVQ 3 TA qualification or equivalent
· Experience of supporting learning with secondary pupils aged 11 - 18
· SEN awareness and experience in a similar role
· Excellent communication skills

Desirable
· Experience supporting literacy and numeracy
· Area of specialism - core, non-core subject
· Excellent ICT skills
