My client is looking for an experienced IT Commercial & Contract Manager to join the team. The main Commercial duties of this role will include establishing the sourcing strategy for the IT product and service packages, contributing to the development of the business case and other justification and approval contracts, planning and managing the end to end sourcing of IT product and service packages, defining and documenting the requirements for the IT product and service packages and developing complete draft contracts for IT product and service packages. The main Contract Management duties of this role will include ensuring that the contract obligations of both the supplier and the Department are fully satisfied, coordinating, advising and supporting the work undertaken by the team in understanding and meeting the contracted obligations and deliverables, negotiating matters such as issue resolution and service improvement with suppliers and maintaining detailed knowledge of the obligations embodied within the relevant frameworks. Essential criteria for this role will include demonstrable track record in the planning and management of procurements of significant scale and complexity involving a wide stakeholder involvement, demonstrable track record in procurement, contract management and administration in large, high value contracts related to IT development work in the UK public sector, the ability to prepare and interpret detailed contract documentation, a track record in the managing and administering of procurement competitions including requirement preparation, proposal evaluation, contract finalisation and award and a successful track record and appreciation of the governance processes used within large Central Government departments.
