We are looking to recruit a Housing Officer for a temporary Contract in Lancashire. You will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the Group and its clients, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented and a high quality service is maintained.







- Monitoring allocations ensuring targets are met

- Authorising re-lets

- Working to establish local lettings and marketing strategies

- Dealing with abandoned properties effectively

- Liaising with rents and services team when charging rents and service charges

- Co-ordinating with the income management team

- Making regular visits to properties to ensure satisfactory management and provision of maintenance and other services to properties

- Providing supervision and guidance to office and site based staff

- Dealing with all matters concerning the conditions of tenancy, in particular condition relating to nuisance and ASB

- Dealing with all matters in relation to estate management

- Monitoring the day-to-day maintenance service

- Liaising with the Asset Management Department to deliver programmed planned maintenance work

- Monitoring the performance of service contractors

- Agreeing service charge calculations and budgets for existing and new schemes

- Managing decanting of tenants for major repairs or re-habilitation works

- Carrying out regular performance reviews, appraisals and identify training and development needs for staff

- Support existing residents groups and develop new groups where appropriate

- Attending residents meetings as requested and act as the Groups representative at these meetings

- Liaising with the Tenant Participation Co-Ordinator as required and support TP development within the group











You will have experience in:



- Experience of working in Housing Management

- Target driven attitude

- Proactive approach to dealing with neighbour nuisance and ASB

- Ability to build constructive relationships with residents, the local authority and outside agencies

- Ability to deal with conflict situations professional and sympathetically

- A strong focus on providing a high quality customer service
